Short Story “Make Believe” Reyvelyn Bacan John Paul Mancawan What will I do now? My mom will kill me when she finds out that I lost my scholarship. How could I do this to her? How could I do this to myself? A stupid mistake was ending my dreams. I allowed myself to distracted, and I failed one of my subjects. Of course, I explained my case to the dean. I implored him to give me another chance, but it was all in vain. My throat tightened as I tried to hold back my tears. I blinked to stop them from falling, and I placed my hand over my mouth to muffle the sounds of my sobs. Aside from losing my scholarship were allowed to live there, so I needed to find a new place to live in.
